New Years Resolution for 2009...read more books or watch more movies. I'm going to try to read 100 books and watch 100 movies in the year. I can do this. It'll be fun, and it'll get me to read more!

Concordia University has wifi! There is a god!

...too bad I'll be too busy memorizing my monologue from Ros and Guil are Dead to actually do some role-playing/blogging. Idk. Might kill a few tags. Oh, the monologue is Rosencrantz's "dead in a box" bit. For NewStage general auditions we have to do a monologue and sing a song if you want. I'm either going to do a bit of "Unworthy of Your Love" or "Happy Working Song". I'm leaning towards "Happy Working Song" because of the contrast.

Let's see...we went to the Lincoln Museaum today. I spent a bit too much time going 'hooooly crud John Wilkes Booth'. I love and hate Assassins. It is such a good musical but the fact that I knew who John Wilkes Booth was when I saw his wax figure standing outside in the lobby (that was...awkward) makes me smile. Anyway, I really liked the museaum. I learned a lot of stuff. I bought two books in the gift shop. One about the two weeks or so when people were searching for John Wilkes Booth after he killed Lincoln and another one was a picture book about the Civil War signed by the author and illustrator! Awesoooome.

Uh...yeah. I probably need to be social now.

I have too many characters. I know that I'm dropping Adam from C&C in like...a week-ish as I have lost the muse for him and I do not know what to do with him. Keeping Adam at LV, though. As for LV...I'm torn. Either Four or Nick are getting the axe. I'm doing a canon review for both of them this weekend while I'm on a billion hour trip to Chicago for a church choir conference. Speaking of that, I won't be on the internets AT ALL until Wednesday (unless the religion housing we're staying at has wifi which I highly doubt).

Watched Spinal Tap yesterday. It was hilarous. I need some Spinal Tap music on my iTunes now, like whatever the "Sex Farm" song was. Hilarious.

Thriller's on. The FULL version. We have that album, but it's not uploaded onto my iTunes. Thriller won 8 Grammy Awards and contained 7 Top Ten Hits. It was preserved by the Library of Congress because it was "culturally significant". In 07, the Guinness Book of World Records said that Thriller sold 65 million copies as of 2007. There are about 65 million people in France. Damn.

I love my college boys so much.

I've got these three friends who go to college, so I naturally don't see them during the year. During the summer though...hoo boy. We hang out. Dad got a new LCD tv for Father's Day (40 inches!!!) so we've been basically watching movies at my place. On Sunday we were gonna see Star Trek (first time for them, third time for me) but Northpark's a bitch and wasn't showing it on Sunday anymore (but they were showing it at 7 pm on Monday. Tres weird). Anywhos, we went to Blockbuster and rented GoldenEye instead. I think that's one of my favorite Bond movies. I love Onnatop so freaking much, the crazy little sadist.

Anywhos, tonight we watched Goldfinger cause two of my college boys haven't seen it. That is, without a doubt, the best Bond movie of all time. I want to have Sean Connery's babies. We snarked all through the movie, made fun of the more ridiculous parts (the ethnic army is really dumb and can't shoot work a crap) and ate all the leftovers from the first movie party. Oh, and then we played Marvel Ultimate Alliance and everyone managed to die within five minutes. I'm normally very good at the game, but when we were switching Wiimotes, Kirk flew Ms Marvel into a fire. Nice job. Tomorrow the boys are bringing over the XBox and play Halo cause A) I've never played it and B) WE HAVE A 40 INCH LCD TV.

What else...we had auditions for Throughly Modern Millie today. I think I got a callback...they wanted me to dance again and sing part of the 'Speed Test' song. Here's hoping I get a part! I rented Reservoir Dogs and Thank You For Smoking and enjoyed them both. That scene in Reservoir Dogs with the ear and "Stuck In The Middle With You" FREAKED THE HELL OUT OF ME OH MY GOD. I AM DELETING THAT SONG FROM MY ITUNES EVEN THOUGH I LIKE IT CAUSE I'LL JUST SEE THE EAR SCENE WHEN I LISTEN TO IT.

I still need to see Terminator: Salvation...solely for Anton Yelchin, of course. Ooh, and Christian Bale. I'm such a fangirl.

I'm probably gonna be dragged to Austin to attend the graduation of a cousin that I can't stand just because I 'have nothing to do'. What. The. Fuck. I hate car trips that are just me and my mother, I can't stand the cousin, and I hate Texas. It's always 100 degrees and I really don't like my family that lives there. And what the hell? It's just a high school graduation! We both know that she's not gonna do anything with her life anyway.

At times like this I can't stand my mother.

Because in one two hour session my derpy useless elf wizard got blinded by a cobra, had her sight restored by a magic potion, picked up an amulet that kind of made her a homocidal maniac, got a glowy magic sword, and threw potatoes at a giant white ape.

Another thing is that nobody can remember our character's names, so my brother's huge sword-slinging tank guy is Captain Hammer, my sister's rogue thing that can disable devices and is really sneaky is Dr. Horrible and my wizard with a tendency to die is Penny.

I'm supposed to be studying for my final. It's on Brave New World. Pfffft fuck that shit. I can bs my way through an English final. Besides, it's only 5% of my final grade.

The repairs for the hood of my car would cost more than the actual car. So basically, me, my dad and my uncle are trying to pry open the hood of the car with a crowbar and then pound it back into shape. I really don't care. I mean, it still runs so that's good. I just want to drive again.

I have two freaking Chekov bios to finish for two different role-plays. What am I. Ooon the other hand, this gives me an excuse to go see Star Trek again...for the third time. I need to buy this movie when it comes out on DVD like burning.

Speaking of movies, I got a ton of movies for my birthday and since school gets out for the summer on Friday (PRAISE THE LORD), I get to watch movies all weekend~ So yeah. I'm gonna watch Life of Brian, Shaun of the Dead and (if I can find it at Blockbuster) Reservoir Dogs. Cause I'm a sucker for Tim Roth.

OH YEAH ONE MORE THING. F-LIST: do any of you read/watch The Dresden Files? Cause I just got into the books and luuuurve them. I saw the first episode of the TV show on hulu and luuuurved it (not just because of ZOMG TERRANCE MANN). So yeah. Who wants to be a spazzy fangirl with me?

You know when you've had one of those days? Yeah. Yesterday was one of those days.

For starters, I kind of was in a car wreck. I wasn't paying attention and accidentally slammed into a slow-moving car. Fortunately, no one was hurt but my hood is smashed. Little damage to the other car, but the insurance should cover it. I don't want to think about how much it would cost to replace the hood. Ay ay ay.

Fortunately, I took the van and went to see Star Trek again. <3 And then I decided to become a Trekkie. CBS.com has some of the old ST:TOS episodes up on the website and so I watched "Mirror Mirror" and "The Trouble With Tribbles" tonight. Oh my gods, I love some Original Series. Especially Chekov. I love the cute little Russain in both the Original Series and the new Abrams movie.
